I have been an avid motorcyclist since age 13 when my dad helped me purchase a Yamaha DT125 Enduro. Thirty-six years later, I’m still riding.
Six motorcycles reside in my stable right now. When a co-worker questioned why I own six bikes, I replied, “Because I don’t have room for seven.” My favorite daily rides are a 2003 Honda XX Blackbird, 2002 Triumph Bonneville, and 1979 BMW R100RS. I also have three project bikes: a 1971 Ducati 350 single, 1966 Honda 305 Dream, and, the latest and possibly “kewlist” acquisition, a 1961 Honda 125 Benly CB92R.
In 1995 and 1997, I indulged my passion for long-distance riding by competing in the Iron Butt Rally. I finished 10th in 1995, and suffered a disappointing tire failure while coming down off Mount Rainier in Washington during the latter rally. My current goal is to ride the Iron Butt Rally again in 2011.
I hope that you enjoy my blog. I look forward to connecting with friends, and making some new ones.
